The Jordan River Temple will be closed for maintenance December 1 - December 21.

During this time the Draper Temple as well as the Oquirrhh Temple will still remain open.

The Draper Temple has walk-in endowment sessions every hour from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Oquirrh Temple has by appointment endowment session every hour 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and then every 45 minutes 5:45 to 7:15 p.m. Call 801-878-3800 to schedule.

Sunday, October 18th will be the Westland Stake Conference

under the direction of President Thomas S. Monson.

General Conference

Don't forget to enjoy General Conference this weekend!

Hope

In these uncertain days, it is sometimes difficult to remember what is truly important. Some days when the world seems to be crashing down around you, have hope.

President Uchtdorf has said that "hope has the power to fill our lives with happiness. Hope sustains us through despair. We learn to cultivate hope the same way we learn to walk, one step at a time. We grow in our ability to abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost as we more perfectly live the Gospel."

Finding hope in Jesus Christ sustains us through times of despair, teaching us there is reason to rejoice even when darkness seems to surround us.

President Monson said, "Find someone who is having a hard time and do something for them."

If you are having a hard time, find someone to serve. Chances are, you won't have to look very far to find them. When we uplift others, we ourselves are renewed.

The following activities are being offered Saturday, September 26, at the stake center.

3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Light meal and special display honoring women (cultural hall)

5:10 - 5:55 p.m. Musical Presentation and Message by President Allred (chapel)

6:00 - 7:30 p.m. General Relief Society Broadcast (chapel)

NOTE: If you are interested in attending the broadcast at the Conference Center our ward still has tickets available. Please contact Patti if you would like to use them.
